MACAA is an association of attorneys who accept court appointments in Massachusetts. One of the primary objectives of the association is to obtain fair compensation for the attorneys who perform these vital services for the indigent, so that these attorneys can survive economically to defend the indigents of the future. MACAA also believes that the quality of representation is enhanced when all of the professionals providing services are treated fairly.
